BRIDGE - closing session March 4th

A final meeting for the BRIDGE study was held on March 4 at Gardermoen. Professor Ingvild Kjeken has been the project manager for the study, which has taken place at eight rehabilitation sites in the specialist health service in Norway, and a total of 374 patients have participated.
A total of 22 people attended the meeting, which included representatives from each rehabilitation site, as well as our steering group with user representatives, representatives from primary health care, and senior researcher Els van den Ende from the Netherlands.
Five scientific articles have been published, and the last one will be completed before the summer. All patients who have participated in the study will soon be sent the results brochure. – The BRIDGE study has contributed to unique insight into the healthcare professional perspective on the delivery of interdisciplinary rehabilitation services and patients' perspectives on challenges and helpful support when working with health-promoting change processes, says Kjeken. She emphasizes that the study has also provided knowledge about what we can do in the future to achieve a higher degree of continuity and coordination across healthcare services.
