The Clinical Trial Unit (CTU) organizes research support for academic studies, including self-initiated drug trials and other intervention studies as well as industry studies. The unit supports researchers in planning and conducting clinical trials.
The unit consists of statisticians, research coordinators, biobank coordinators, research advisor and study nurses as well as a unit manager. The team is made up of experts with varying backgrounds from research, lab and biobank, industry and clinic, and contributes broadly with advice and assistance to the various phases of the research projects, including planning, application writing, approvals, implementation and data analysis. The team will ensure that clinical studies associated with REMEDY are conducted in line with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
The unit acts as a link between REMEDY at Diakonhjemmet Hospital and NorTrials, NorCRIN, Inven2 and Regional Research Support.
