Diakonhjemmet Foundation becomes a gold partner in Health2B

Diakonhjemmet Foundation now becomes a partner in Health2B and a player in the arena of health innovation. This marks an important milestone in the development of sustainable solutions for health services.

Health2B is a public-private partnership and a physical collaboration arena in the Research Park, which facilitates open innovation across businesses, functions, technology and expertise. In Health2B, need owners and the health industry meet on an equal footing and with the same vision: To create the health service of the future together.

Diakonhjemmet brings breadth and experience

CEO Ingunn Moser of the Diakonhjemmet Foundation sees Health2B as a good arena for developing needs-based solutions that strengthen the quality and efficiency of health services.  

“Our breadth, with primary and specialist healthcare, university education and extensive research programs, makes us a valuable partner for other businesses within health and care,” says Moser. She believes that an arena like Health2B provides good meeting places for collaboration.

Focus on patient needs and practical solutions

As a partner, Diakonhjemmet wants to contribute to the development of technology that improves healthcare services. The development will be based on the needs of patients and the practical experiences of employees.

– The partnership is also part of our commitment to connecting innovation work across our businesses in the foundation, says Moser.

Cross-sectoral collaboration

Christian Skattum, who heads the Innovation Department at Oslo University Hospital and one of the founders of Health2B, warmly welcomes Diakonhjemmet:

Facts: Diakonhjemmet foundation

The Diakonhjemmet Foundation operates and develops comprehensive services within health, care, education and research.

The Diakonhjemmet's activities include:

  • Diakonhjemmet Omsorg AS operates and develops services within elderly care and child/family care.
  • Diakonhjemmet Hospital AS is a local hospital in Oslo. The hospital receives patients from the entire health region within rheumatic diseases and psychopharmacology and has national expertise within rheumatological rehabilitation. The hospital has extensive research activities. The hospital is the host institution for the REMEDY research center.
  • VID University of Applied Sciences AS offers study programs and research within health and social sciences, diaconia, theology and management, and cultural and religious studies at all levels from bachelor to PhD. VID has campuses in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger and Tromsø.
  • Diakonova AS Vocational School is a non-profit vocational school offering study programs within health and care in Oslo and Bergen.
