Welcome to the trial lecture and public defense by Kristine Røren Nordén on October 30, starting at 10:15!
In her doctoral degree at Diakonhjemmet Hospital and the University of Oslo, Kristine has researched how high-intensity exercise can contribute to better physical fitness and reduced risk of cardiovascular disease in patients with inflammatory joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis and psoriatic arthritis.
The topics for the public defense include, among others:
- High-intensity interval training (HIIT) as a treatment method
- How aerobic capacity is measured and improved in patients with joint diseases
- Health benefits such as increased fitness, better cholesterol levels and lower body fat
