Seed funds for research collaboration
To strengthen research collaboration between the institutions in the Diakonhjemmet family, a total of NOK 200,000 in seed funding is being announced. Diakonhjemmet Hospital, VID University College of Science, Diakonova Vocational School and Diakonhjemmet Care are included in the scheme.
Funding can be applied for for one of these activities:
- Organization of a workshop, seminar or similar with the goal of a joint application for external funding of research
- Organization of a workshop, seminar or similar with the goal of one or more joint scientific publications
- Concrete research projects
Applications can be made for up to NOK 100,000 per activity/project.
- All activities must be directed towards research within health and/or care
- At least two of the above-mentioned businesses must be included in the application
- The funds must be used during 2026, with commencement in 2025.
- The project manager must have their main position at one of the businesses
Applications can be made for operating funds and/or payroll funds (free purchase). Seed funds do not cover overhead. Applicants follow their own internal procedures for budgeting costs.
The application must briefly describe the activity for which seed funding is being applied for (maximum 400 words).
Application deadline is September 1, 2025
The applications will be processed by the working group for the scheme, which consists of the head of research at Diakonhjemmet Hospital, the vice-rector for research at VID, the dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at VID and the director of Diakonhjemmet Care.
