Valeria Melokhina gave a presentation in "Contact meeting for doctors" at Diakonhjemmet hospital on 2 February. - Due to the fact that the war in Ukraine has been going on for 10 years, Valeria held a speech on what her hometown was like before the Russian invasion in 2014 and how the events developed there at that time, said meeting chair, Guro Løvik Goal.

In her poignant presentation, she shared the transformation of her hometown from a vibrant city known as the "city of a million roses" with a thriving cultural scene, to a place marked by the tragedy of healthcare professionals and friends being killed by Russian forces, alongside the challenges of conducting clinical trials during wartime. Another indispensable thing is communication. There are often no mobile networks available on the frontline and nearby. To stay connected with hospitals and other medical evacuation facilities, they rely on Starlinks mostly. So providing a Starlink station is one more way to help combat medics to save lives.

Since 2014, volunteer Tata Kepler has been providing medical assistance to the military. During this time, a powerful resource was created for further support of the army and the civilian population thanks to the contributions of direct donors. After the full-scale invasion, Tata Kepler's volunteerism grew and grew into a separate independent project 'Birds', around which like-minded people rallied. Organizational support of the project is carried out by the Charitable Organization Charitable Foundation 'Feel'.

Medical volunteer Anna Dombrovckaya (dombrovskaya.com) raises funds for medical equipment essential at frontlines, like hemostatic tourniquets and so on.

Hospitallers Paramedics battalion helps those who need it most on the front line every day.
