Seminar on pain in honor of Hilde Berner Hammer

This spring, Professor and Senior Consultant Hilde Berner Hammer will retire and become Professor Emerita. On this occasion, REMEDY invited to an open seminar. The seminar, Pain – from Molecules to Psychology, examined pain from different perspectives – from molecular mechanisms to psychological and clinical approaches.
The seminar brought together leading researchers and clinicians to explore how pain is understood and treated, with particular emphasis on osteoarthritis, inflammation and pain sensitization.

The program includes contributions from:
🔹 Lene Terslev (Copenhagen) on ultrasound and pain
🔹 Alexander Mathiessen (REMEDY) on inflammation in hand osteoarthritis
🔹 Marthe Gløersen (REMEDY) on pain sensitization
🔹 Synne Øien Stensland (NKVTS) on pain as the original language of trauma
🔹 Elisabeth Mulrooney (REMEDY) on pain phenotypes
🔹 Kaja K. Selmer (OUS) on pain at the molecular level

The day ended with a summary by Hilde Berner Hammer .
