Several from the Unit for Health Service Research and Innovation (EHI) recently participated in Digital Rheumatology Days in Berlin, which was organized for the seventh time 21-22. March.

The theme of the conference was "Reshaping Patient Care", and the program was packed with over 22 lectures, workshops and group discussions.

Among the topics were the development of medical apps, machine learning and KI, patient -centered design, implementation of digital solutions and trends in digital rheumatology.

Digital studies at EHI and Remedy

-The conference inspired our ongoing digital studies such as Nor-Flare, OA-AID, Remonit Gout and Spark, says Nina Østerås from Diakonhjemmet Hospital.

Medical equipment

A particularly useful workshop was about the development and categorization of medical equipment, which we take with us further in the Reconnect network for decentralized studies.

It is interesting to see how unlike different countries interpret what should be defined as medical equipment - which is important for both approval, use and further innovation.

The conference gathered 130 participants from 19 countries - a good mix of researchers, clinicians, patient representatives and representatives from the industry.

RECONNECT

Remember to sign up for the reconnect seminar,  comprehensive planning of decentralized clinical studies - what do you need to take into account?
