ABOUT THE PROJECT
EPNO consists of a large registerlinkage cohort. Using data from the Norwegian Patient Register we have extracted individuals who have been diagnosed with arthritis at two or more time-points from the age of 18 years. Each individual has been matched to 10 age, gender and area of residence matched controls.
EPNOA has been linked to several national Norwegian Registers including The Death Registry, The Cancer Registry, The Norwegian Immunisation Registry and The Norwegian Arthritis Registry. Using data from EPNOA we have chosen to focus on research questions concerning the risk of and outcomes in comorbidities, trends in and effects of immunisations and use of health care services.
