Project Manager

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The study started in 2010 and examined RA patients who started on bDMARDs.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Inclusion in the study has ended.

A total of 212 patients with rheumatoid arthritis were included.

WHAT DOES THE STUDY INCLUDE?

All patients were surveyed with extensive clinical examinations, patient-reported outcome measures, laboratory tests and with an extensive ultrasound examination, all carried out both at baseline and after 1, 3, 6 and 12 months. Serum and plasma from all patients at all visits are stored in a -80 degree freezer, and a number of studies have later been carried out using plasma or serum where laboratory samples are compared with findings from the extensive vascularisation.

Several studies have also been published regarding changes in ultrasound findings and clinical findings during follow-up. Several publications based on the study are under processing or planning.
