Project Manager

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The study began in 2010 and examined RA patients who started on bDMARDs.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Inclusion in the study has ended.

A total of 212 patients with rheumatoid arthritis were included.

WHAT DOES THE STUDY INVOLVE?

All patients were screened with comprehensive clinical examinations, patient-reported outcome measures, laboratory tests and a comprehensive ultrasound examination, all performed both at baseline and after 1, 3, 6 and 12 months. Serum and plasma from all patients at all visits have been stored in a -80 degree freezer, and a number of studies have subsequently been performed using plasma or serum where laboratory tests have been compared with findings from the comprehensive angiography.

Several studies have also been published regarding changes in ultrasound and clinical findings during follow-up. Several publications based on the study are in preparation or planning.
