About the project

The study started in 2010 and examined RA patients who started bDMARDs.

Who can participate?

Inclusion in the study has been completed.

A total of 212 patients with rheumatoid arthritis were included.

Project arrangement

All patients were assessed with comprehensive clinical examinations, patient-reported outcome measures, laboratory tests and a comprehensive ultrasound examination, all performed at baseline and at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months. Serum and plasma from all patients at all visits are stored in an 80 degree freezer, and a number of studies have subsequently been performed using plasma or serum where laboratory samples have been compared with findings from the comprehensive mapping.

Several studies have also been published regarding changes in ultrasound findings and clinical findings during follow-up. Several publications based on the study are in preparation or planning.
