Clinical Trials Unit (CTU)

The Clinical Trial Unit (CTU) organizes research support for academic studies, including self-initiated drug studies and other intervention studies as well as industrial studies. The unit supports researchers in planning and carrying out clinical studies.

The unit consists of statisticians, research coordinators, biobank coordinators, research advisers and study nurses as well as a unit manager. The team is made up of experts with varying backgrounds from research, lab and biobanking, business and the clinic, and contributes widely with advice and assistance to the research projects' various phases, including planning, application writing, approvals, implementation and data analyses. The team will ensure that clinical studies associated with REMEDY are conducted in line with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

The unit acts as a link between REMEDY at Diakonhjemmet hospital and NorTrials, NorCRIN, Inven2 and Regional research support.

Biobank

The clinical trial unit has responsibility for the biobank in REMEDY. The unit has a research lab and can assist with expertise and advice.
