Communication is an increasingly important part of research
|
With the REMEDY center's goal of research to improve patient care, communication is essential to shorten the time from when the result is available to when it benefits the patients.
This overview and plan should be a working tool for deciding channel choices for different messages to reach the desired target groups. The individual projects' milestones form the starting point for communication activities.
Organization |
Communication strategy |
o The communication work must be practiced within the framework of sustainability and the EU's recommendations relating to scientific impact, societal impact and innovation impact o Research results and new treatment methods must be communicated in an up-to-date and comprehensible manner for various target groups and stakeholders. o Each project must have a communication plan to build awareness of the studies and the REMEDY centre o Collaboration partners' existing channels must be used to communicate research results and new treatment methods o Use the stakeholders' channels to communicate research results and new treatment methods o Own website www.remedy-senter.no , LinkedIn, twitter, newsletter and press releases o REMEDY's communication must be co-ordinated, clear and uniform o Consistent use of style, tone, theme and graphics is important to ensure a strong sender identity across efforts, logo/design is based on REMEDY's graphic profile NB: link to downloadable profile at https://www.remedy-senter.no / |

Communication plan for dissertations |
All dissertations must follow a communication plan belonging to the individual companies' policies. |
Communication plan for the individual projects/studies |
A communication plan with tentative dates must be drawn up for each project, in collaboration with the communication advisor.
During each project that includes patients, particularly suitable patients must be registered so that they can be contacted on a later occasion, for media purposes etc. This must be in accordance with the GDPR.
At each milestone, the project manager must assess whether it is appropriate to release information, before contacting a communications advisor to take measures, such as updating the website, preparing a press release, newsletter content, taking pictures, preparing illustrations, SoMe posters, etc.
Before each publishable discovery and major publication, the project manager must provide the communications advisor with a text base for press releases and communication in preferred, accessible channels as soon as possible.
Posts in social media (SoMe) are tagged with #remedysenter and #rmd #rmds and other tags for searchability
