ABOUT THE PROJECT
Existing EUS recommendation for non-pharmacological core treatment of hip and knee arthritis was published in 2013. After this, many new clinical trials have been conducted. Therefore, there was a need to update this recommendation.
Who was with?
An international interdisciplinary working group of 25 people (researchers, health professionals and user representatives) from 15 European countries were set up to update this recommendation.
What did the study mean?
The working group followed the EULAR's standard procedures for updating recommendations. This included updating the research questions, conducting a systematic literature search and review, a revision of the recommendations in the form of a consensus process and publishing updated recommendations. The working group will also make plans for the spread and implementation of the recommendations.
