ABOUT THE PROJECT
The existing EULAR recommendation for non-pharmacological core treatment of hip and knee osteoarthritis was published in 2013. Since then, many new clinical trials have been conducted. There was therefore a need to update this recommendation.
WHO WAS INVOLVED?
An international multidisciplinary working group of 25 people (researchers, healthcare professionals and user representatives) from 15 European countries was established to update this recommendation.
What did this study involve?
The working group followed EULAR's standard procedures for updating recommendations. This included updating the research questions, conducting a systematic literature search and review, revising the recommendations through a consensus process, and publishing updated recommendations. The working group will also develop plans for dissemination and implementation of the recommendations.
