The existing EULAR recommendation for non-pharmacological core treatment of hip and knee osteoarthritis was published in 2013. Since then, many new clinical trials have been conducted. There is therefore a need to update this recommendation.
An international multidisciplinary working group of 25 people (researchers, health professionals and user representatives) from 15 European countries has been set up to update this recommendation.
The Working Group follows EULAR's standard procedures for updating recommendations. This includes updating the research questions, conducting a systematic literature search and review, a revision of the recommendations through a consensus process and publication of updated recommendations. The working group will also develop plans for dissemination and implementation of the recommendations.
