ABOUT THE PROJECT

The TODAY study is a randomized controlled trial. It will compare the effects of patient-directed vs. prescribed regular use of TNF inhibitors in patients with axial spondyloarthritis.

TODAY is fully funded and is now in the start-up phase. The study is classified as a drug trial according to the Clinical Trials Regulation EU No 536/2014.

It therefore requires approval in the Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS).

The study is expected to generate numerous and important publications.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Patients who have axial spondyloarthritis and who use Etanercept or Adalimumab regularly and with good effect can participate in the study

WHAT DOES THE STUDY INVOLVE?

The study involves being randomly selected to either take the medication regularly or whenever desired.

There will be two doctor visits during the 12-month follow-up and some digital questionnaires
