Hilde Berner Hammer has been a driving force in the development of modern rheumatology in Norway for decades. She is internationally recognized as one of the world's leading experts on the use of ultrasound in rheumatological diseases and has led groundbreaking projects such as NOR-CACTUS and the work on precision medicine at the REMEDY Center.

The START study at Diakonhjemmet Hospital has reached an important milestone: One hundred patients with newly diagnosed arthritis have now been included. The milestone shows that the project is progressing as planned. The goal is to find signs in patients that can be used for 1) early diagnosis, 2) personalized treatment and 3) appropriate follow-up for the individual.

More than 60 leading researchers, clinicians and patient representatives from Europe are gathered in Oslo. REMEDY at Diakonhjemmet Hospital is hosting the general assembly of the EU-funded project SQUEEZE. The project aims to make the treatment of arthritis and similar diseases more accurate and effective.

Researchers, professionals and patients met at Diakonhjemmet Hospital to share new insights in the field of rheumatology. The dialogue seminar on September 23rd had the main theme of medications and coping. Ingvild Kjeken and Anna Fryxelius guided us through the program. They also ensured that questions from the audience were well attended to.

REMEDY's annual Young Researchers Program Research Seminar was held on 17–18 September 2025 at Oscarsborg Fortress. The seminar brought together early-career researchers for two eventful days. They enjoyed academic lectures, practical workshops and social gatherings.

The aim of the educational visit was to share knowledge and experiences, expand networking opportunities, and discuss clinical decision-making, potential HPR research, and future educational collaborations.

PROM in NET is organizing an Advanced Course in the Use of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures in Clinical Studies. Increased use of PROM (Patient Reported Outcome Measures) in research and clinical practice is a desired development and in line with political guidelines. To ensure high quality in this type of research, it is important to learn the methodological aspects of using PROM.
