The Nor-vaC study concludes that repeated covid vaccination is safe and that it strengthens the antibody response in patients with inflammatory diseases of the joints and intestines.

Researcher Nina Østerås has presented the new research-based advice for osteoarthritis in VG. She emphasizes that even if the joints are characterized by osteoarthritis, movement and organized exercise will lead to better joint health.

On the international Clinical Trials day (May 20), the Research Center for Treatment in Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Diseases (REMEDY) was officially declared open at Diakonhjemmet Hospital. The REMEDY center is supported by research funds from the Research Council of Norway and the Olav Thon Foundation

In competition with many strong research environments in Norway, the Research Council has awarded Diakonhjemmet hospital up to NOK 128 million to establish a research center for treatment in rheumatology and musculoskeletal diseases. This research effort will provide better treatment for a large patient group.
