Several researchers from the REMEDY Center contributed insightful presentations at the 13th National Musculoskeletal Health Research Conference (MUSS) 2024

A REMEDY-led international panel has developed new guidelines based on the best available research, with studies from REMEDY (NOR-DRUM) as a key part of the evidence base. The underlying question: Can proactive TDM improve treatment outcomes for adults with inflammatory bowel disease, inflammatory arthritis or psoriasis using biologics, compared with standard of care?

Kristine Røren Nordén has researched how personalized, high-intensity training can improve aerobic capacity in these patients. 

Diseases that are part of the specialty of rheumatology are often referred to as rheumatic diseases or rheumatological diseases. Among rheumatologists, there are divided opinions about which of these terms is preferred, and this is the topic of the language column in the journal 25.10.24

The hospital is in the process of completing a state-of-the-art biobank facility at Vinderen. The facility will ensure the safe storage of valuable biological material. This is important for the hospital's long-term focus on research and personalized medicine. The facilities will be ready by the end of 2024.

Minister of Health Jan Christian Vestre visited Diakonhjemmet Hospital on October 15. He wants to ensure that the apps in work package 5 do not have to be CE marked as high-risk medical devices.

The All About Clinical Trials course will be held at Diakonhjemmet Hospital, Oslo, 12-13 December 2024. It is a generic course that covers all aspects of clinical trials. Although it is built by cardiologists, it is relevant to anyone interested in clinical trials. The course is particularly well suited for PhD candidates.

New research project on biological medicines:

“This will be a national boost. We hope that we will conduct a study that can change clinical practice,” says project manager Silje Watterdal Syversen at the REMEDY Center.
