Top Australian researcher Professor Kim Bennell from the University of Melbourne will be visiting Diakonhjemmet on September 16. At 3:15 PM, she will give an open lecture in the auditorium in DBL, where she will share her perspectives on the future of osteoarthritis research.

Patient apps with documented effects can provide better follow-up and coping for patients. During Arendal Week, politicians, the Norwegian Directorate of Health and researchers, among others, agreed that it is time for such solutions in the health service. Rehabilitation for rheumatic diseases is changing. In a new special issue of the Journal of Clinical Medicine, Rikke Helene Moe (Diakonhjemmet Hospital) and Thea Vliet Vlieland (Leiden University) show how personalized approaches, digital solutions and interdisciplinary collaboration can help meet the needs of the future. The Department of Rheumatology, Outpatient Clinic and Research and the REMEDY Research Center organized the Green Congress for Rheumatology on June 20. The event offered highlights from EULAR 2025 in a climate-friendly setting.

To strengthen research collaboration between the institutions in the Diakonhjemmet family, a total of NOK 200,000 in seed funding is being announced. Diakonhjemmet Hospital, VID University College of Science, Diakonova Vocational School and Diakonhjemmet Care are included in the scheme.
